Therefore drinking contests are not a good idea and even if it is included in any events then the current trend is to include no more than one free drink as part of the price of admission to an event and that is usually only done at dinners. Smoking and gambling is also increasingly becoming an issue so it should be avoided as far as possible.

Besides these make sure to address the multi-cultural issues. It is also important to remain sensitive to inter-faith issues and avoid scheduling events during major holidays. Remember to survey the premises you may use for an event to make sure it is wheelchair accessible, from ramps to special washrooms so that there is no problem for those who cannot walk. Arrange for the interpreters who could interpret words into sign language for people with hearing impairments. Offering childcare, arranging special transportation and special dietary needs for some people will make an event more accessible for everyone.
